Apply for a library card.
Kilgore Memorial Library offers patrons the following two types of user access. After you determine which level meets your needs you can follow the easy steps to apply.
Full Service
To access all that our library has to offer, stop in and complete a Library Card Application and User Responsibility form. You will need a photo ID (Drivers license, passport, etc.). If your photo ID does not have your current address, you will also need proof of address (utility bill, lease agreement, etc.). After your application is complete and address is verified you will receive your library card and can start using it right away.
Your full service library card allows you to:
1. Check out books, DVDs and other materials from our physical collection.
2. Monitor your account online.
3. Access our online resources.
4. Use the library's technology and electronic resources.
Online Only
NOTE: you will not need an online only account if you already have a full service card. Full service includes everything in our online only access and more!
This account level offers access to all of the library's online apps and services. This level of service is perfect if you cannot make it into the library or prefer to read or listen on your phone or tablet.
Follow these easy steps:
1. Open our Online Catalog.
2. Click the "Sign Up" button in the upper right corner.
3. Complete the Application Form.
4, Submit and wait for a library staff member to approve your application.
5. You will receive a welcome email when your account is ready.
