Council Approves Another Round of Downtown Revitalization Projects

The Downtown Revitalization Program (DTR) is now in its fourth renovation round of projects. Downtown York continues to evolve as new revitalization projects move forward thanks to a collaborative effort between local property owners, the City of York, the York Chamber of Commerce, and Southeast Nebraska Development District (SENDD). As the next round of projects begins, the impact of this years-long program is becoming more visible throughout the downtown district.

 Residents and visitors to York can see the impact of previous revitalization projects by using the Experience York County App. Simply download the app, select play from the home menu, and choose the yellow DTR York scavenger hunt icon to begin a self-guided tour. This will give a list of stores to visit in York who are or have been a part of the downtown revitalization program. Compare the archival photos with the new look and even submit your own photos with your friends or family in front of the transformations. This journey reveals how York honors its past while simultaneously embracing its future.
